Children's Classes

Atlantic Center for the Arts provides year-round arts programming for children ages 6 - 12. We offer fun and enriching experiences through our multidisciplinary Summer Art Camp, our bi-monthly Saturday Sessions art classes, and other specially scheduled community events.

Students 6 - 12 years old

Bring a bag lunch and wear comfy clothes with closed-toe shoes.

All ages welcome! Parents are encouraged to stay and make a pumpkin, too! Participants will use orange, terra cotta clay to create several pumpkins that stack. Projects will be fired through a partnership with Clay Gallery. Project pickup date: October 18

Join us at Atlantic Center’s main campus for an event celebrating the traditional Mexican Day of the Dead. Activities will include music, face painting, and art projects inspired by this holiday of remembrance.

Free and open to the public.

Participants will visit Atlantic Center’s Pabst Visitor Center & Gallery to see the Mark Dion exhibit of curio cabinets, then walk the nature trail to the Painting Studio where they will create their own cabinet of natural wonders.

One of the most popular classes of 2007 will return just in time for the holidays. Multiple creation stations will allow participants to check every name off their list while learning about the joys of giving. Gifts will go home wrapped in custom paper, so no peeking parents!
