Atlantic Center for the Arts - How To Arrive at ACA

Atlantic Center for the Arts is located in New Smyrna Beach, approximately 15 miles south of Daytona Beach on Florida's central east coast. The Center is set in unspoiled hammock-land on Turnbull Bay, a tidal estuary 3 miles north of downtown New Smyrna Beach.

Destination ACA:

If you are planning to travel by air, plan on arriving at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB), which is approximately 25 minutes from ACA. The next best alternative fly-in destination, Orlando International Airport (MCO), is approximately 80 minutes from ACA.

If you need transportation from Daytona Beach International, we suggest using Silver Bullet Cab & Shuttle, 386-424-1444 (cost $35 one way from Daytona). You must make arrangements/reservations at least 48 hrs. in advance of your arrival. Silver Bullet will pick you up at the airport and take you to ACA. If you require transportation form Orlando International Airport renting a car form Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the best option Donot take a taxi from Orlando International Airport unless you are prearped to pay $100 - $150!

Renting a car for one day from Enterprise Rent-A-Car is another option. To rent a car, telephone 386-426-5366 prior to traveling and tell the representative that you are associated with Atlantic Center and will need the special ACA corporate rate (corporate account # K41726) for a compact car to be picked up at Orlando International Airport and dropped off in New Smyrna Beach. (You must pay for the car rental, it must not be billed to ACA's account - cost approx. $40). Enterprise in Orlando is located approx. 2 miles from the airport, and a shuttle is available from the baggage claim area. Enterprise in New Smyrna Beach is located approx. 2 miles from ACA (we will assist you in dropping the car off). FROM DAYTONA AIRPORT:

Exit the Airport toward International Speedway Blvd. Turn right onto International Speedway Blvd. (Volusia Ave.) Eastbound. You will pass Daytona Beach Community College on your left and several automobile dealerships. Just past the railroad tracks is US-1/Ridgewood Avenue. Turn right on US-1 Southbound. After approximately 7 miles, you will cross three bridges and on you right will be Turnbull Bay. Approximately 3 miles past these bridges you will see a brown sign on the right hand side of the road pointing to Atlantic Center for the Arts. Art Center Avenue is just beyond the sign in front of a large billboard. Turn right onto Art Center Ave. and proceed .8 of a mile. Turn right onto ACA Drive (first right after Frank Hubbard Drive). Parking spaces for the Associate Housing Units are indicated on your map. Housing Units 1-14 are located to the north and Housing Units 15-28 are located to the west.

FROM ORLANDO AIRPORT:

After renting your car from Orlando Airport, follow the Bee Line Expressway #528 East towards the coast. When 528 meets I-95, exit and head North on I-95. Take I-95 to New Smyrna Beach Exit 249. Exit and turn right onto RT. 44 eastbound. Just past the second traffic light on RT. 44 are signs to Business 44, which begins across from the Kmart shopping center. Make a short left then turn right at the first stop sign onto Business 44. At the traffic light past the railroad tracks, turn left and go north on US-1 (Old Dixie Highway). Drive north 3.6 miles. Past the Airport is a brown and white sign (on the right side) pointing to a left turn onto Art Center Avenue, and proceed .8 of a mile. Turn right on ACA Drive (first right after Frank Hubbard Drive). Parking spaces for the Associate Housing Units are indicated on your map. Housing Units 1-14 are located to the north and Housing Units 15-28 are located to the west.

RESIDENCY TRANSPORTATION:

Atlantic Center for the Art's realizes that many Associates will not have cars during the residency. ACA will provide transportation to the local shopping center twice a week. ACA's van will depart from the Administration Building at approximately 1:30 p.m. every Monday and Thursday throughout the residency. Special visits to other shopping areas may be arranged.

Take RT 44 west to south 95 then exit #212 to Route 407 to 528 Beeline - Follow signs to airport. Toll-Plazas - Bring Quarters/Dollars
